Bluffton, SC – Watterson Brands salutes Lowcountry Veteran military personnel and their families this Veteran’s Day. Local businesses Burnt Church Distillery and Pizza Co., 120 Bluffton Rd. in Bluffton; Side Hustle Beer Company, 144 Arrow Rd., Hilton Head; and Benjamin’s Southern Fried Pies mobile food truck will raise funds to benefit Veteran services at Operation Patriots FOB and Vantage Point Foundation. Throughout November, visitors and friends of the South Carolina-based distillery, brewery, restaurant, and food truck will have the opportunity to donate to the Operation Patriots FOB and Vantage Point Foundation– with a special concert series at the Burnt Church Distillery benefitting Veterans and their families through the Vantage Point Foundation every week.
“Our patriotism goes beyond the love of country, to the brave men and women throughout history who have served and forged our futures,” said Billy Watterson, CEO Watterson Brands. “It is with a thankful heart that we honor these organizations this month and direct the community to these resources that are in many ways a lifeline to Veterans and their families.”

About Operation Patriots FOB
The mission at Operation Patriots FOB (OPFOB) is to create and foster positive experiences for Veterans by connecting through outdoor and recreational activities. The organization creates an alliance through peer engagement in a comfortable and relaxed environment. OPFOB has a 268-acre recreational property in Ridgeland, SC where they host combat Veterans and their families. OPFOB offers hunting, fishing, skeet range, target range, trail riding, and all of this is offered FREE to the Veterans and their families. These various forms of recreation, along with a newfound camaraderie, have been proven ways of helping our Veterans deal with PTSD and other demons they may be facing from the scars of battle.
About Vantage Point Foundation
There are over 190,000 post 9/11 veterans transitioning into civilian life each year — a transition that affects almost every dimension in their lives: work, family, social, school, and community. Many veterans experience friction in this transition. VPF strives to ease that friction, and accelerate veterans’ forward progress into work, education, and their communities.
